Wayne Beaton and Ian Skerrett broadcast the New Years edition of their monthly podcast.
In project news, there are new modeling proposals, an Eclipse IDE for Education (IDE4EDU) proposal and the PDT 2.0 release. Wayne would also like to draw attention to the Java 2 CSharpTranslator proposal and asks you to get in contact if it's something you're interested in.
EclipseCon is, of course, a big part of the Foundation this time of year. The program has been chosen and registration is going well. Wayne gives some of his picks on sessions to attend. Early registration ends on February 14. Remember to get your nominations for the Eclipse Community Awards in by January 30. These will be awarded the Monday of EclipseCon.
Wayne has been doing university outreach to increase awareness of Eclipse and to recruit for Google Summer of Code.
