Alex Barth

Abstract:
MapBox recently received a $575K grant from the Knight Foundation to do work for OpenStreetMap's interfaces. For those that aren't familiar, OpenStreetMap is a crowd sourced map resource with countless thousands of contributors world wide. In this talk, Alex Barth explains some of the technologies used at MapBox and touches on the vision for their work for OpenStreetMap. This talk was part of a LocationTech working group meeting on October 10th, 2012.
