Abstract:

Eclipse Scout is a framework to implement modern business applications. It substantially reduces development time for both client and server software in a service oriented environment. The Scout framework includes an application model, a reference implementation, proven development functions and strong tooling support.

Join the Scout team for an overview of the project, the development of a small demo application, Scout key concept (e.g. separation of UI and GUI in Scout to support SWT, Swing and web front ends), and an outlook to current ideas regarding Scout on Eclipse 4.

Total running time is 39:49
