		<title>Team Work with Models: Compare and Merge with EMF Compare </title>
		<link>http://live.eclipse.org/node/616</link>
		<description>

  Cedric Brun (Obeo), Laurent Goubet (Obeo)

	Abstract:

	  Ganymede brings an important pack of modeling technologies - one of those is EMF Compare, which enables team working using any kind of model, easing the high scale usage of Model Driven Development.

This webinar will start with a presentation of the 0.8.0 features released with Ganymede and the modeling package: differencing of any kind of model (both standards or specifics), merging those differences and integration with CVS/SVN. Then there will be a demo showing what can be done with the advanced features: model evolution reports, higher level differences and leveraging of the comparison engine for testing purposes. The webinar will conclude with a preview of the 1.0 (Galileo) release demonstrating, among other nice things, the EMF Compare integration with graphical modelers.

Total running time 41:28 minutes

Thanks to Adobe for contributing their Adobe Acrobat Connect product to host this webinar.

		<title>Mylyn 3.0: Code at the Speed of Thought</title>
		<link>http://live.eclipse.org/node/573</link>
		<description>

  Mik Kersten (Tasktop Technologies)

	Abstract:

	  Mylyn has changed the way developers work. This talk provides both an overview of the technology and a series of demos that will help newcomers get started. For seasoned users, the demos provide some quick overviews of new features and best practices.

The theme of the talk is the idea that focus and flow are key to creative work, and that tool support can facilitate focus and help us maintain flow, dramatically increasing our productivity. The talk overviews some of the motivations and foundations behind Mylyn&#039;s task-focused interface, including the split between our brains&#039; semantic and episodic memory systems. After that, things get more concrete with several demos of Mylyn 3.0, followed by a showcase of the tools that make up the Mylyn ecosystem, including open source connectors as well as commercial tools such as the SpringSource Tool Suite and Tasktop.

Total running time 47:45 minutes
