		<title>Chronon 2.0 fixes the evils of logging</title>
		<link>http://live.eclipse.org/node/1049</link>
		<description>

  Chronon Systems

	Abstract:

	  The groundbreaking new Post Execution Logging functionality in Chronon allows you to add logging after the execution of your code! You can see the results instantly inside our Time Travelling Debugger. Not only that, clicking on a line of log output takes you to the point in time when it was output and you can examine the full state of your program and step backward/forward in the execution of your code. This means that you can get rid of all the logging statements cluttering up your code entirely!This also mans that you can develop faster and have cleaner code which performs better (due to no overheard of logging statements).

		<description>

  Chronon Systems, LLC

	Abstract:

	  The Chronon Recording Server allows you to record the entire execution of your java program on any machine in your organization.
If your programs breaks, you can take the recording from the server, and play it back on any developer machine using our special Time Travelling Debugger.
Thus its almost like TiVo for Java.

		<title>MyEclipse for Spring 8.6: Generate GWT and Flex Apps in Minutes</title>
		<link>http://live.eclipse.org/node/972</link>
		<description>

  Dave Meurer (Skyway Software/Genuitec)

	Abstract:

	  This webinar deep dives into the new Adobe Flex and Google Web Toolkit (GWT) scaffolding options that are available in MyEclipse for Spring 8.6. Presented by Genuitec and Skyway Software, we’ll cover the following:

How does it work? See how to quickly generate working GWT and Flex applications from existing DB tables, Java Beans and JPA entities in a matter of minutes.
What gets generated? One of the biggest learning curves is understanding what gets generated – we’ll do a deep dive into the generated artifacts to help users understand what exactly comes out of MyEclipse for Spring.
How does it compare to other GWT/Flex scaffolding technologies?

Watch this webinar replay if you want to see how MyEclipse for Spring (ME4S) is delivering unprecedented Rich Internet Application scaffolding options to the Spring Community.

For developers who are looking to learn new technologies like Flex or GWT, MyEclipse for Spring 8.6 allows them to quickly create their own contextual examples that they can then reference while getting up to speed on the new technology. Meanwhile, developers who are experts in these technologies can stop worrying about the boilerplate code, and let MyEclipse for Spring take care of all the mundane, repetitive tasks.

		<title>Helios In Action: JavaScript Development Tools</title>
		<link>http://live.eclipse.org/node/919</link>
		<description>

  Simon Kaegi (IBM)

	Abstract:

	  With the advent of Web 2.0, JavaScript have become central in the creation of a richer user experience on the Web. Its use has shifted from the creation of simple functions and events handlers to the creation of complex Web Application frameworks. Such complexity made it crucial that a more sophisticated set of tools become available on Eclipse.

JSDT&#039;s goal is to develop an IDE for JavaScript applications, with full support for editing, search, and refactoring. The functionality of the JavaScript Development Tools is heavily based on the functionality of the Java Development Tools, but since JavaScript is not a fully typed or class-based language, it is not possible to provide 100% of the JDT functionality. JSDT is extensible in that it can be (is) plugged into the HTML and JSP editors within WTP as well as being architected with pluggable type inference and completion proposals in mind. The inference engine is used to determine type and class structures from the JavaScript code, enabling as much of the JDT equivalent functionality as possible, while still allowing adopters to contribute to the process for atypical or extended scenarios.

This presentation was recorded as part of the Helios In Action virtual conference.

	  <span class="field-item"><p>With the advent of Web 2.0, JavaScript have become central in the creation of a richer user experience on the Web. Its use has shifted from the creation of simple functions and events handlers to the creation of complex Web Application frameworks. Such complexity made it crucial that a more sophisticated set of tools become available on Eclipse.</p>

<p>JSDT's goal is to develop an IDE for JavaScript applications, with full support for editing, search, and refactoring. The inference engine is used to determine type and class structures from the JavaScript code, enabling as much of the JDT equivalent functionality as possible, while still allowing adopters to contribute to the process for atypical or extended scenarios.</p>
